We met with the ladies at Tech High School who turned out to not even be from Tech. They were from another school that was not even associated with Tech. The ladies basically said that they didn't have anyone who was underprivileged but we could help organize their prom and their students would help with the Dress Drive. I don't think we are going to follow through with this plan because it wasn't what we envisioned.
We also met with the leaders of the Dress Drive that occurs at Doe Creek. They want our help advertising for the event and getting donations for the event. This Wednesday we went to the North Side and asked different Prom and Bridal stores for donations. We were so surprised and happy when a bridal shop actually gave us dresses as soon as we asked. Also we emailed a shop called Reynolds and they emailed back and said they would give us 75 dresses so they could use it as a tax right off. The first store we went to was really interested in donating and said to check in, in three days to see if they are able to donate. Overall this was very successful and we are hoping to get lots more donations in the future.

Ivey and I finally gained some progress in our project. Wednesday we called Arsenal Tech High School and talked to the principle, Mrs. Sultzer. She was really nice and helpful. She said that Ivey and I could come meet with her next Wednesday at 9:45 A.M. Ivey and I have prepared a flyer that explains our project and the goals we hope to accomplish. We are really excited about this meeting, but a little nervous. Mrs. Sultzer said that after our meeting she would have to make sure it is okay with administration at Arsenal Tech High School. After our meeting she said she would contact Mr. Large to talk about details. We really hope this meeting goes smoothly!
